Ramadan

This week marks the start of an important holiday in the part of the world into which I am going and it is a month long celebration. Many Muslims observe this holiday by fasting, during the daylight hours they will not eat any food or drink anything, including water! This is a season in which they need to be lifted up to dad, because the heat in this area of the world is easily over 100 F and the people can be irritable. Please join me in pr for these people as they literally enslave themselves to the abstaining of the necessities of life. I just see how the enemy has taken these people captive in their worship of him and used them as his pawns.

Yesterday was my roommates birthday so last night all the girls that I live with went out to The Cheesecake Factory. Our top three excuses were, 1. It's Katie's Birthday!! 2. Girl's night out. and 3. This might be the last time for two or more years that we will get to do this so let's make the most of it!

I have enjoyed my time here so far, everything from delivering mail (yay care packages!) to sitting and listening to people talk on Spiritual Warfare and Anthropology! I especially enjoy it when a Professor/teacher will gladly spend his day with us pouring into us and genuinely be proud of us and what Dad is doing and how he will use us.
