I want to be in East Dallas. Ever since I set foot on the Campus of Criswell, I have wanted to be a part in the light which pierces the darkness in that area. For almost the last year, I have been living in an almost dream like community. We have had our ups and our downs, we have welcomed strangers and had our fears. We have gone through a marriage, and have watched people leave. Why then is this different? I want to leave because I am not be pushed more and more into the Father. I am no longer recieving Christ in this form. I truly wish I was because then I would know that I do have a strong church to fall back on, I do have encouragement. I am honestly seeking those elsewhere because I do realize that I am in need of them.
The church which I have been attending the past year is an amazing church. I just feel as though if I were to stay there God would say, "What are you doing here? I sent you to East Dallas." I would be a modern day Jonah, searching for survival and not finding until I surrendered and left. I finally feel like I am obeying a call, and the problem is I am breaking friendships to get there. I have had someone tell me that they care about me, but I feel as though its to late or not genuine. More so the former than the latter.
I was told if it gets me more of Christ, chase it down. That is just what moving into East Dallas will do, let me chase Christ down.
