Speak!

Speak. In this close communion though this hour seems timeless still I await the word that you say I am longing just hear these words. Breathe in me Holy Spirit. Form my will and renew my mind that I might become the song I sing. Teach me to wholly offer.

Recently my friends have been suffering from the feeling of inadequacy. The enemy has a strong hold on this especially since it is easy right now to not dig into the scripture because it is the summer. I want to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ, but I don’t and its not because I am feeling inadequate; it is because I feel like I need to protect myself. So I am doing the only thing I can do and that is encourage the few people from whom I do not need to protect myself. I want to be able to encourage them all because we all need it, daily. Hebrews will say so long as it is called today, do not harden your hearts from this teaching so that you to may fall by the wayside. I feel as though it is the enemy who has me shut up so that I can’t encourage those who need it most. I want to talk!

I know that I have been given the gift of service as well as encouragement. It is the gift of encouragement that is to often shut up, because other things distract me from the work that I am gifted with. I want there to be a time (soon) in which I will share my gift, so that it is not hindered. It needs to be revealed. I want to encourage poeple more; its just simply what I am suppose to do.

I got a tattoo this weekend that days "numphe tou christou" translated "The bride of Christ". It has more meaning than one, which is why I got it done. It primarily serves as a reminder that I am already a bride that I am awaiting to be presented as a bride. The exciting thing about that is even when I get married (Lord willing) here, I will still be awaiting another grander wedding. Another thing about this phrase is that the bride which it is speaking of is the church, which does not (by any means) compose of only one person but it is of all the who are in the covenant, the church. This reassure me that I am not alone in this, which is a good thing. One of my biggest struggles is lonliness, which is hard to imagine because I am always around people. I live in tight communities and have so for the last year, but there is still something missing that is driving this lonliness. If I have something that remeinds me daily that I am apart of the church then I will remember that I am a part of the church. That is exactly why I got this particular one done in this particular spot because it is visible.
